The goal of this department is to help meet the educational needs of the EMS community and the hospitals, fire departments and branches of law enforcement that activate and utilize our services.  Students of these fields are also welcomed and encouraged to attend!

Continuing Education classes are focused on acute and critical care for pre-hospital crews, Registered Nurses, students and other health care professionals.  Information about up coming classes can be found here, the RAC list server, and via e-mail, from our database of prior students. RN and EMS CE's are free of charge!! (CE's provided through collaboration with the Christus Spohn Health System). Locations of the class will vary with size of class--please RSVP so we can plan appropriately.

We are proud to offer our local Medical, EMS, Fire Fighter and the Law Enforcement community the opportunity to experience the unique field of emergency medical helicopter transportation.  It is our hope that your flight with us gives you a unique and rewarding experience and new insight into the logistics, procedures, and tactics used in air operations in comparison to other types of emergency transport services.  Our target ride-along audience are persons that we pick up patients FROM and deliver TO as well as RN and EMS students interested in the air medical career field.

In order that we may provide this service to you, we request that you fill out a ride-a-long package.

***Please note the physical requirements for height of 6' or less and a weight of 210 or less.  You must be able to sit in a seat 18" across with a seatbelt in place***
All scheduled applicants will be required to bring along a picture ID.  Ride-a-longs will be conducted between the hours of 0800-1700 only.  Requested deviations of these times must be approved by the Chief Flight Nurse.  All scheduled ride-a-long applicants will be required to receive a briefing comprised of comprehensive safety procedures, overview of our flight operations, and a briefing of the ride-a-long applicant expectations before, during and after a flight.  Please arrive with the Notary page completed. Without this you will not be able to fly. Please understand that flight calls are very unpredictable and there is no guarantee that you will get to fly.  Students are encouraged to bring school work and study materials to stay busy with. You may also bring a camera to fly with.  Email pictures to us for possible placement on our website. The ride-along day is a one-time event per person.  If you did not get to fly on your shift you may reschedule as space allows.  Deviations must be approved by the CFN or Executive Director.
